Diamond League: Larissa Iapichino triumphs in Stockholm.
Larissa Iapichino repeats herself in the Diamond League. After her June 2 success at the Golden Gala in Florence, the Italian jumper triumphed in Stockholm with a leap of 6.69 meters on her last attempt.
In a competition marked by rain, the daughter of the art preceded Germany’s Malaika Mihambo (second with 6.66) and Serbia’s Ivana Vuleta (third with 6.58).
“It was a difficult race, with a lot of difficulties, because of the adverse weather,” Iapichino commented at the end of the race to Rai microphones. “At the beginning I didn’t know how to behave, then instead I took good measures. I am very happy: it is a good feeling to win in the Diamond League.”
