Three minor league players in the running for Stefano Sturaro
Stefano Sturaro’s adventure with newly promoted Genoa in Serie A seems to have reached its end credits: the contract that expired on June 30 has not been renewed and now the feisty midfielder is looking for a new team. Among the rumors that have been circulating in the last hours are those of interest from Bari, Pisa and Spezia, three clubs that will be engaged in the cadet league next season with the clear goal of promotion. The ‘Galletti’ have come close, the Tuscans have not returned as much as hoped while the Ligurians are coming off a scorching relegation.
Sturaro, who turned 30 in March, made his debut in the top flight with Genoa on August 25, 2013, at the age of 20, coming on in the 89th minute of the match played at home against Inter by the team then coached by Gian Piero Gasperini.
