Roma-José Mourinho, renewal not imminent for former Giallorossi man
Tonetto has his say
Max Tonetto does not expect Jose Mourinho to renew with Roma anytime soon. “A few months will pass, the market, Roma will have to play in the league trying to re-enter the Champions League. If then he sees that things work in a certain way he will talk about it, but in the immediate term no,” he said exclusively to the microphones of Centro Suono Sport 101.5 during the “Crossover” broadcast.
“Having a coach like Mourinho must be an extra push, he is a lightning rod that is always there,” the former defender continued. Having such a character, with his personality, who always puts his face on, must be a stimulus and not a justification for the players. This concept, however, needs to be understood: if you see it as a justification, it is not good. The intelligent player, however, in my opinion, understands that it is a stimulus.”
“It will have to be understood if the coach intends to continue with this module, the characteristics of the outfielders change if you play with three or four. In recent years the defense has been consolidated for sure, it has also held up well in the international field. Karsdorp and Spinazzola by characteristics go well with the three-man defense. In my opinion Spinazzola at 100 percent form remains one of the strongest outfielders in Italy, if not the strongest: he combines quality and quantity, if he is well he is an added value,” Tonetto concluded.
