Lazio, three Italians on the trail of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
Lotito, for his ace, wants 40 million euros
It will be a long summer for Milinkovic-Savic and Lazio. The Serbian still has only one year left on his contract with the biancoceleste club and, at 28, seems ready for a new adventure. So many clubs are on his trail, in particular, Juventus, Inter and Napoli. Watch out for the Bianconeri, who have been dreaming of the Serbian midfielder for some time and do not even seem to be in a hurry to close the deal anytime soon.
Patron Lotito has been clear: 40 million euros (without technical quid pro quo) are needed to get the sergeant. A considerable amount of money when you consider that, in a year’s time, the Serbian will be a parameter zero, unless a resounding renewal arrives.
There are rumors of a possible meeting between Sarri and Milinkovic-Savic with the biancoceleste coach trying to convince the Serbian to stay at Lazio and, perhaps, extend his contract. However it goes, it will not be at all easy this time to retain him, not least because Milinkovic-Savic seems convinced that he has already given everything for the biancocelesti colors. In eight seasons at Lazio he has played 341 games with 69 total goals.
