Wimbledon, Matteo Berrettini found again: overwhelmed De Minaur

Scream of joy for Matteo Berrettini at Wimbledon: the Roman tennis player, after last days’ marathon derby against Lorenzo Sonego, confirmed his growth by routing Australian Alex De Minaur, number 15 in the seeding, in three sets with a score of 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in two and a quarter hours.

The Italian tennis player regained his confidence and all his certainties, starting with his strong point, his serve: Berrettini scored 87 percent of points won with the first and did not concede breaks to his opponent, who was never really able to trouble him throughout the match.

Berrettini, a finalist in 2021 at Wimbledon and now clearly rising in bookmakers’ odds, thus advances by carriage to the third round of the Championships, where he will face the winner of the match between Zverev and Watanuki.
