Wimbledon, Carlos Alcaraz advances to the round of 16: defeated Chilean Nicolas Jarry in 4 sets
Carlos Alcaraz qualified for the Wimbledon round of 16, suffering more than he had to against world number 28 Nicolas Jarry. The Murcian tennis player won in four sets with a score of 6-3 6-7 6-3 7-5 after nearly four hours of play.
The world number one suffered from his opponent’s offensive game to such an extent that he ended up down 4-1 in the fourth set. However, from that point on, the Spaniard managed to raise his level and overturn the result, ending the match on 7-5.
In the round of 16 Carlos Alcaraz will face the winner of the match between Alexander Zverev and Matteo Berrettini.
