Allianz new partner of Derthona Basket

Allianz becomes a partner of Derthona Basket in Tortona, the team that has been the protagonist of a great rise in recent years and a hub for many young athletes of all ages, with the goal of continuing the development of the youth sector, a key asset of the Piedmontese club.

The insurance company, led by CEO Giacomo Campora, by virtue of the sponsorship will be at Derthona Basket’s side for five years from the 2023/2024 to 2027/2028 sports season, as “Title Sponsor” of all youth teams and “Platinum Sponsor” for the men’s and women’s teams, thus renewing its desire to promote sport as a promoter of the values of integration and enhancement of the potential of everyone, and in particular of young people, thanks to talent, fairness, ethics and commitment.

“We are pleased with this new partnership in basketball. We chose Derthona Basket because of the attention that this sports club devotes to the youth sector, a heritage of enormous value for their future sporting success. Allianz also believes in the values that sports can transmit to the new generations, for the good of the entire community and local communities,” commented Maurizio Devescovi, General Manager of Allianz S.p.A.

“Signing the agreement with Allianz, which will bind Derthona Basket for the next five seasons, is definitely a new starting point in the growth of the club,” noted Derthona Basket CEO Ferencz Bartocci. “The responsibility of having Allianz by our side means for us to raise the bar even higher in the organization. The fact that we wanted to marry, in a special way, the youth and minibasket activities of all our sectors means that we are all committed to ensuring that the playing environments for girls and boys are increasingly transformed into real places of growth and training. On behalf of our patron Beniamino Gavio, the entire Group, and our president Marco Picchi, truly thank you for sharing this wonderful journey in the world of basketball and beyond.”
