Chelsea still says no to Inter Milan for Romelu Lukaku
Inter has been negotiating for days with two top Premier League clubs for two of its players but the square for both of them has not yet been found: André Onana is in training camp with the Nerazzurri but is ready to leave for Manchester United, Romelu Lukaku is still on vacation and wants to stay in Milan without returning to Chelsea.
For the Cameroonian goalkeeper, as Sportmediaset reports already between today and tomorrow an agreement could be reached with the Red Devils: coach Ten Hag wants him team by the weekend and in Viale della Liberazione, Inter’s headquarters, they are waiting hours for the right offer to give the green light. Patron Zhang’s okay would come with 55 million.
For the Belgian striker, on the other hand, the dead line is set for Monday, the day he is expected in London. Both teams are aware of the player’s will, and Inter wants to hold on to Lukaku to maintain its ambitions in both Italy and Europe. But Chelsea, which in turn knows full well that Big Rom wants to stay at the Nerazzurri, demands much more money than Inter is offering.
The Nerazzurri’s latest offer is the same, 30 million but with a different way of bonuses, but the response was again negative. The Blues, complicit with the fact that Lukaku, according to English media, is in the sights of two other clubs, is unwilling to soften their demands. At this point, it will be Inter Milan that will have to raise, although it is assumed no more than 35 million. We will know more soon.
