Milan and Napoli mocked: attacking coup fades away
A market target for Milan and Napoli has officially vanished: Lens striker Lois Openda is leaving Ligue 1 to move to Bundesliga side Leipzig.
The Belgian player has become the most expensive purchase in the club’s history: he arrives for a total sum between fixed and bonuses of more than 45 million euros.
Openda signed a contract until 2028, and will wear the number 17 shirt. Also on the player’s trail was AC Milan, which is looking for a deputy Giroud: the other roads lead to Morata, Balogun and Taremi.
It is a different matter for Napoli, which had inquired but would come forward only in case of Osimhen’s farewell.
