Juventus-Lukaku: rumors of a sensational salary

Romelu Lukaku case shakes up Serie A soccer market: Juventus reportedly snatched the Belgian striker’s yes with a whopping salary.

While Inter made a deal with Chelsea for his transfer, Lukaku and his legal counsel, Ledure, reportedly received a 12.5 million euros per season salary offer from the Old Lady, definitely above Bianconeri standards (the highest is currently Paul Pogba’s 8 million euros per year salary offer).

Juventus would ask for time from the player before sinking the blow: first the Bianconeri must place Dusan Vlahovic at Paris Saint Germain to recover the necessary money to reinvest in the purchase of the Belgian bomber from Chelsea.

According to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lukaku reportedly said yes and is now stalling, denying the go-ahead to Inter. Behind the player’s decision is also Inzaghi’s choice in the Champions League final in Istanbul, when he preferred Dzeko to him from the 1′.

Lukaku last season played 37 games with the Nerazzurri shirt, scoring 14 times. Great anger on social media from Inter fans, who feel betrayed a second time by the Belgian, who left the Nerazzurri after winning the Scudetto in 2021 to return to Chelsea.

However, the deal also raises perplexity among Juventus fans: the history between Lukaku and the Juventus corner is infamous, and for many, the player’s age does not justify such an outlay of money, in addition to the sacrifice of 23-year-old Vlahovic.
