Marcell Jacobs comes out of the tunnel: ‘I came out of it’

The World Athletics Championships in Budapest are approaching, and good news is coming from Olympian Marcell Jacobs, who announced to Sky that he will be there despite the many problems he has encountered this season at the physical level.

“I’m very happy, because we managed to overcome a period when it seemed like we couldn’t come out of it anymore, however, I’m very happy to be back racing. Obviously I show few things compared to what we are doing, however, I am very confident, the World Championship is in a month and a few days, however, I am happy and I know that we will get there not only to participate, but to achieve something important.”

Jacobs had to skip the national championships, “The Italian Championship is a Championship that you always have to do, I’ve always done it, unfortunately this year I didn’t have the material time to be able to prepare for this event, but you have to try not to take steps backward, but only take steps forward, because it could compromise what is the journey to the World Championship.”

“I am giving not 100 percent but 200 percent of me to try to dream and make you dream again, and so that is our goal,” concluded the 100-meter gold medalist at Tokyo 2021.
