Giovanni Severini is the new reinforcement for Urania Milano

Urania Milano announced on Monday the new reinforcement for its external department: it is Giovanni Severini, guard/winger class 1993, who will wear the red and blue jersey next season after his experience, also in A2, at Pallacanestro Cantù.

At the presentation, Severini himself entrusted his first words as a Urania basketball player to the club’s official channels: “I am happy to become part of the reality of Urania,” he said. “It is a club that I appreciate very much, technical and managerial staff have been looking for me with conviction in recent weeks.

“All this is a factor that gives me even more energy and desire to be able to contribute, to get to know my new teammates,” added the Macerata native. “We want to build a solid and winning group, with hard work and enthusiasm to make the Wildcats fans happy.

Severini, born April 23, 1993, grew up in the youth ranks of Mens Sana Siena, a club with which he also made his professional debut in 2009. In his career he then wore the undershirts of Cus Siena, Pallacanestro Chieti, Pallacanestro Firenze, Scandone Avellino, Pallacanestro Forlì 2.015 and Scaligera Verona, before his experience in Cantù.

Urania Milano will play the 2023/24 season in the Green Group of Serie A2, along with Agrigento, Cantù, JuVi Cremona, Latina, Casale Monferrato, Rieti, Luiss Roma, Torino, Trapani, Treviglio and Vigevano. In the other Group, the Red one, Fortitudo Bologna, Cento, Chiusi, Cividale, Forlì, Nardò, Orzinuovi, Piacenza, Rimini, Trieste, Udine and Verona will be involved.
