Valentino Rossi wins in Misano, boss gets emotional

Great elation in the WRT house after Valentino Rossi’s victory in race 2 of the Misano round. It was the Doctor’s first success in the GT World Challenge Europe, and the team principal, Vincent Vosse, could not hide his emotion.

“Misano has always been a special place for us, we have had great success in the past, but to win here with Vale is really something different. On a more personal note, I’d like to dedicate this victory to my mom, who in addition to always having supported me in everything I’ve done, has been a big fan of Vale since the MotoGP days, and she’s very, very happy today!” are the post-race statements captured by Motorsport.

Congratulations also from BMW Motorsport chief Andreas Roos: “Congratulations to Valentino on his first win in the GTWC and in his home race, in Misano! A fantastic script like this is almost too good to be true. This victory is confirmation of the great growth he has shown behind the wheel of the BMW M4 GT3 over the past few months.”

Valentino Rossi enjoys the victory and thinks about the future: he will race in the WEC championship in 2024. “I want to thank everyone, the atmosphere in the team is wonderful, Bmw is following us closely and I am having so much fun. We have to continue like this.”
