Aamir Simms, another big blow for Venice

Umana Reyer has announced an agreement with Aamir Simms, a 203-centimeter, 110-kilogram forward from Paris Basketball. Simms was born Feb. 17, 1999, in East Orange, New Jersey, and began playing basketball on the court near his home in Palmyra, Virginia. The first part of his basketball growth occurred at Fluvanna County High School before earning a scholarship to Blue Ridge School with which he won two championships and was named Central Virginia’s Player of the Year.
In college he wears the Clemson Tigers jersey for four years reaching the NCAA Sweet 16 in his first season and being named to the third All-ACC quintet in 2020 and the second in 2021. In the summer of 2021 he plays Summer League with the New York Knicks and then plays the entire season with the Westchester Knicks. In the 2022/23 season he wears the jersey of Paris Basketball with whom he plays 30 games in the base quintet in the league (13.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists shooting 60% from 2 and 45% from 3) and 15 in the Eurocup (13 points and 4.6 rebounds with 62% from 2 and 40% from 3). Simms just finished the Las Vegas Summer League with the Denver Nuggets.
In recent days Rayjon Tucker, a 191-centimeter, 95-kilogram guard from Melbourne United, had been made official. He was born on September 24, 1997 in Charlotte, North Carolina (USA), where he grew up basketball at Northside Christian Academy. In college he studied and played from 2015 to 2017 with the Florida Gulf Coast Eagle while in the 2018/19 season he transferred to Arkansas to represent the Little Rock Trojans (20 points and 7 rebounds average). In 2019 he played Summer League with the Milwaukee Bucks before donning the Wisconsin Herd jersey in the G League with whom he put up 24 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3 assists per game attracting the attention of the Utah Jazz with whom he signed in December of that year, making his NBA debut. In November 2020 he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers while in January 2021 he moved to Philadelphia with whom he played with the 76ers in the NBA and the Delaware Blue Coats in the G League. In the 2021/22 season Tucker returns to the Wisconsin Herd until April 2022 when he signs with the Milwaukee Bucks with whom he also plays in the playoffs. In the 2022/23 season he wears the Melbourne United jersey in the Australian National Basketball League finishing the season with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game (55% from 2 and 38% from 3).
