Genoa, Andres Blazquez unveils alternative to Retegui
Genoa CEO Andres Blazquez spoke from the Rossoblù’s summer training camp, unveiling the alternative in attack to Mateo Retegui.
“We want to build a competitive team, capable of having at least a chance to win every game,” the Ligurian CEO began. “We want to be protagonists in Serie A as well. With the coach there is a constant dialogue on what is needed to face Serie A in the best way, in the coming days we count on providing him with some reinforcements.”
The Grifone is on the hunt for a reinforcement in the offensive department, where the favorite is Mateo Retegui: “He is a strong player, who we like. We are talking about him: it is not an easy negotiation, but we are there. In any case we also have alternatives, he is not the only name we are considering.”
The Ligurian club, however, is also on the trail of Noah Ohio of Standard Liege: “He is very interesting, he has 20 and great margins for growth. He can become a very strong player.”
From next July 1, it will be possible to deposit the contracts for the players who will make up the teams’ rosters for the 2023/2024 season.
