The words of Juan Guillermo Cuadrado

First words as a Nerazzurri player for Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, who spoke to the microphones of Inter TV: “I am very happy: I thank God for this opportunity. For me it is an honor to be here, in one of the greatest teams in Europe: I am happy.”

“Cordoba? We are very close friends, we talk often,” added the former Juventus player. “When I was about to break his record for the most games played in Europe by a Colombian we joked together, I told him I would never be able to surpass him, but he charged me by telling me I could do it. Then I was lucky because I played so many games: more than an example Ivan is a friend of mine, we talk often and I’m glad I can be here, juxtaposed with him.”

His transfer is causing much discussion: “I had many offers, Italy however is a second home for me. My family is very attached to this country, there was a chance to stay here with a great team, considering the history of this club: I chose Inter because we all know what it represents globally. The important thing is that my family and I are well, we had the chance to stay in what is home for us: surely it will be the best choice.”

“My strength between technique, speed, dribbling, ductility? Cheerfulness: I always try to do everything with a smile on my face. On the field I like to show it, I think it is one of my most important characteristics,” Cuadrado concluded.

The Nerazzurri club has boasted the title of Italian champions nineteen times, the last of which was in 2021 when Antonio Conte was at the helm. The first Scudetto came in 1910, the first Champions Cup in 1964, duplicated immediately the following year. With Jose Mourinho on the bench, in 2010, the ‘Beneamata’ raised the cup with the big ears for the third time by knocking out Bayern Munich in the final.
