Becker gives Jannik Sinner and Djokovic no chance: “Alcaraz will dominate”
Boris Becker in an interview with Eurosport spoke clearly after Carlos Alcaraz’s victory at Wimbledon: “For me this tournament is a changing of the guard. I really see it as a final that will go down in tennis history, one of those matches that will still be talked about ten years later. From a sports point of view, this was the day Alcaraz came of age.”
According to Becker, Alcaraz’s dominance in the coming years will be clear-cut, and no one will be able to consistently counter him: “Roger, Rafa and Novak will never win these kinds of titles again. And we are talking about legendary players.”
No chance at the moment for Jannik Sinner and Holger Rune: there will not be another Big Three, according to the former German tennis player:. “Carlos Alcaraz has taken the scepter and is destined to dominate. I think everyone appreciates his understanding of tennis on and off the court. He is a player who does everything as if it were the most natural thing in the world.”
“Alcaraz is now the best, I think the whole world is grateful to have seen such a young player from Spain, so nice, fresh and with such an innocent look.”
