Cagliari, market duel with Juve for a Spal midfielder
Cagliari is preparing its return to Serie A. The Rossoblù have already netted two market hits such as Tommaso Augello and Ibrahim Sulemana, but they certainly do not seem intent on stopping. In particular, the Sardinian club is on the hunt for another midfield reinforcement.
In fact, the Rossoblù management has set its sights on Matteo Prati, a blue midfielder born in 2003 and owned by Spal. However, as reported by ‘Il Mattino,’ the Sardinian club is not the only one interested in the young Spallino talent. In fact, on Prati also looms the interest of Juventus, and further away Napoli, clearly behind the Sardinians and Bianconeri in the race to get the Italian midfielder.
Spal’s new Director of Technical Area Filippo Fusco, speaking at the microphones of Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, recently spoke about the future of the young Estense midfielder: “He did very well at the Under-19 World Cup, he was among the best with the Italy jersey. I can say that the attentions of all the biggest clubs in Europe are on the boy. The friendly with Napoli will be a great honor, it’s a great thing to face the Italian champions. For me it will be a special satisfaction.”
From next July 1, it will be possible to deposit contracts for the players who will make up the teams’ rosters for the 2023/2024 season.
