Dolomiti Energia Trentino announces that it has signed an agreement for the 2023-24 season with U.S. point guard Kamar Baldwin. Born in Winder, Georgia, on Sept. 15, 1997, Kamar is a left-handed outside player with great technical and athletic qualities, a player capable of being a scoring point guard but also a game creator capable of engaging his teammates.
Baldwin between 2016 and 2020 trained at Butler College, where with the Bulldogs for three consecutive seasons he averaged at least 15 points: his first experience in Europe as a rookie came in 2020-21 when he played with Turk Telekom Ankara (5.8 points average in 15 official appearances). The explosion comes in the following season, when with the BC Goettingen jersey he stars as the third best scorer in the Bundesliga at an average of 19.0 points to which he adds 4.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists. In Kamar’s German adventure three times Kamar scores more than 30 points, with a high of 35 made against Niners Chemnitz, and ends the 2021-22 season with 38.3 percent from three. In 2022-23 the return to the United States playing in the G-League with the Maine Celtics, a “satellite” team of the Boston Celtics, with whom he played 47 games finishing at an average of 13.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists with 36.9% from three.
