Milan Olimpia market: several pieces are still missing

Empty shots expected but future of Biligha and Pangos also to be determined

The 2023/24 edition of Olimpia Milano will be profoundly different from the one that won, a few weeks ago, the title of Italian Champion (30th Scudetto in the red and white history). Many excellent goodbyes, some unwanted (Napier, 31-year-old playmaker author of a super season finale that the club would have gladly kept but chose Red Star).

At the moment, the 2023/24 roster of the Red and White sees the following players: Pangos, Lo, Baron, Tonut, Hall, Bortolani, Shields, Ricci, Melli, Voigtmann, Caruso, Kamagate, Hines and Biligha. Net of the fact that Biligha and Pangos are not certain to stay (the long player has been hinted at Venice), there are clearly still several pieces missing before we can consider the AX incoming market concluded.

Fortunately, the start of preparation is still more than a month away (it begins next August 28) and the club has already shown that it knows how to seize the opportunities that come its way and, above all, how to scout players who are functional to the project, read Kamagate and Lo. But what is actually missing for Olimpia? While waiting for the official announcement of Flaccadori, the club would be closing negotiations with Poythress, a long seen last year at Maccabi Tel Aviv. Then it will be necessary to find a player who can give rest to Shields. A small forward with points in his hands and international experience. Not easy but not impossible when your name is Olimpia Milano. There is no hurry in the Milanese house, the ideas are clear.
