Lazio, double arrival in midfield: blow from Bundesliga
Lazio is finally moving to fill the void left in midfield by the departure of Sergey Milinkovic-Savic. The Biancocelesti, according to Sky reports, have picked up Djibril Sow, a Swiss midfielder born in 1997 and owned by Eintracht Frankfurt.
The former Borussia Moenchengladbach man, who won a Europa League starting role with Eintracht in his career, arrives for about 16 million euros. Sow will sign a contract until 2028, and will take 2 million euros rising to 2.5 million with bonuses.
That’s not the end of the story for the Capitolini, who will soon cash in on another midfielder, who will also fill the last remaining non-EU slot available. According to rumors, in the crosshairs is Zakharyan of Dinamo Moscow, and not the Japanese Kamada, who thus remains free at the moment.
Lotito in a recent interview had thus addressed the fans about the market: “We will reinforce this team and we will do it well, the players who arrive will contribute to personal growth and also to the locker room. We need players who have the same mentality that is in this strong determined and cohesive group. Players who are functional for the growth of sporting and team value. You have to be patient because you don’t go to the supermarket and say I’ll pay one and buy three, we are working, and you will see very shortly, to include some players who will increase the technical rate of this team.”
