Treviso, Frank Vitucci is candid about the latest roster additions
Treviso, Frank Vitucci bluntly on new arrivals
During an interview with the microphones of the “Gazzettino,” newly appointed coach of Nutribullet Treviso Frank Vitucci commented on the arrivals of James Young and Deishuan Booker. “I’m always happy with the signings we make. If I wasn’t satisfied, we wouldn’t have taken them. Obviously we have to opt for solutions that are compatible with our budget and technical needs, but we never make fallback choices, this its clear,” the former Brindisi coach began.
“I like Young for many reasons: he has a great shot, he is skilled in one-on-one and rebounding. He has good size, although he is not very tall, and he plays a role that is very important, in which I have always tried to have good players. The small forward is a balancing element for the team in many aspects, both defensively and offensively, and he meets those characteristics exactly. We know he comes from a complicated place like Flint, but that doesn’t mean anything,” added the former Varese man.
“Booker will be the starting point guard. He fits very well on our roster and has very good qualities. He has good size, he’s not super big but he’s tall enough. He defends well, he’s dynamic, he’s a good passer, he plays tall and he’s skilled at creating his own shot. He is very versatile and can cover multiple roles-he can play with Bowman and Young. However, we know that he still has to grow and we can help him develop even more,” Frank Vitucci concluded.
