Claudio Ranieri received the “Let’s Build Kindness in Sports” Award.
Special recognition for Claudio Ranieri
Cagliari coach Claudio Ranieri received the Building Kindness in Sport Award. The Rossoblù coach was also presented with the kindness ambassador shirt.
The “Let’s Build Kindness in Sport” Award, the brainchild of Ussi Toscana and the Cor et Amor Association, with the collaboration of the Tuscan Press Association, to enhance kind gestures through sport, was awarded to Claudio Ranieri, Cagliari’s coach, in Saint-Vincent, the site of the Sardinian club’s training camp. Unforgettable was his gesture to his own fans of “cheering for” and not cheering against,” inviting them to applaud their opponents.
Presenting the award, the symbol of which is a jersey with the colors indicated by the children, were Luca Nardi, coordinator of the national project “Let’s Build Kindness,” and 7 ambassadors of kindness between the ages of 7 and 15.
The Prize is also linked to the “Kindness Alphabet” project, conceived like the Prize by Florentine journalist Gaia Simonetti and Ussi Toscana secretary, which started with children and arrived in the world of sports. So many soccer and other sports clubs, in fact, have compiled an alphabet of kindness. Cagliari Calcio is also at work compiling its alphabet dedicated to kindness.
