Milan Skriniar explains why he chose Paris
Milan Skriniar gives an account of his first days at PSG
One of Paris Saint-Germain’s main strikes, Milan Skriniar, gave an account of his first days at the club in the French capital after his time at Inter ended. In particular, the Slovakian returned to his decision not to renew his contract with the Nerazzurri, choosing the French champions instead.
“Although the negotiations were not very fast, I always believed in the possibility of coming to PSG,” said the former Nerazzurri captain. “From the first contacts I had no doubts about my intentions, I wanted to come to Paris. Now I’m here and honestly I think it’s great.”
Contacts that, Skriniar himself explains, were initiated long before they were made official: “We started talking last year, but sometimes things take a while to come to fruition. Finally, though, I am in Paris, I can only say I am very happy.”
Skriniar, 28, will play his first season in a Paris Saint-Germain shirt after six years at Inter. The Slovak defender, in the Nerazzurri, has collected 246 appearances and 11 goals between the league, Coppa Italia, Super Cup and European cups.
