Turin and the Piedmont Region will again host the Frecciarossa Final Eight of the Italian Basketball Cup for the next two years.

With a resolution proposed by Sports and Major Events Councillor Domenico Carretta, the City Council approved this morning the draft memorandum of understanding for collaboration between the City, Chamber of Commerce, which will be joined by the Piedmont Region and the Basketball League Serie A for the organization of the event for the years 2024 and 2025.

Theater of the event will again be the Pala Alpitour ready to host, from Wednesday, Feb. 14 to Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, what promises to be yet another sports festival for fans and athletes arriving from all over the country with the eight best Italian teams in the first round of the championship, starting on Oct. 1, competing to win the Italian Cup.

“LBA and its teams welcome with pleasure the definition of the agreement for the next two editions of the Frecciarossa Final Eight,” comments LBA President Umberto Gandini. “We are very happy to return to Turin and Piedmont because we found in its institutions the ideal partners to organize such an important Event as the Final Eight and in the Pala Alpitour the right environment able to host not only a great competitive show but also, together with Fip Piemonte, collateral activities able to bring even more people closer to our sport.

An event that will make Turin and the entire region experience a week of great sport and entertainment and will also be an opportunity to bring citizens closer and closer to the practice of sports as well as to present to tourists and fans the beauty of the area.

Details on tickets, event formula and side events will be announced by the entities and the Basketball League in September.
