Milan, two French clubs step up for Charles De Ketelaere
Milan, Lens and Marseille join the race for Charles De Ketelaere
A topic that has been holding the spotlight for quite some time at AC Milan is the one related to the future of Charles De Ketelaere, who, after a first season below expectations, could leave the Rossoneri in this soccer session. The Milanese club, for its part, in order to avoid a capital loss, would be willing to let the Belgian player leave in front of offers around 28-30 million euros. On the former Bruges trequartista, in fact, several clubs would come forward.
According to reports from “La Gazzetta dello Sport,” the 2001 class would end up in the sights of two Ligue 1 clubs, namely Marseille and Lens. While the former would only have requested information, the latter, complicit in the lucrative disposals of Openda and Fofana, could soon make a fair offer to convince the Rossoneri to let the player leave.
However, the two French clubs will have to reckon with competition from several clubs, as Aston Villa, PSV and Atalanta have also reportedly come forward on Charles De Ketelaere.
In addition to the Belgian, Milan would be working to finalize the outright transfer of Junior Messias, who could join Ante Rebic at Besiktas.
From next July 1, it will be possible to deposit the contracts for the players who will make up the teams’ rosters for the 2023/2024 season.
