Franck Kessié spies everyone: Juventus raises white flag
Franck Kessié goes to Al-Ahli
There will be no return to Italy for Franck Kessié: the former Milan player, who was already being hinted at by Inter Milan during his season at Barcelona and was on the notebook of the Juventus management at the end of the season, has in fact surprisingly decided to accept the court of Al-Ahli, one of the four Saudi clubs in the PIF orbit.
As has happened with other players who have decided to fly to Saudi Arabia, the figures are also significant for Kessié: in fact, a three-year 20-million-a-season deal is planned for the Ivorian, who will thus leave Barcelona after just one season. The Catalan club will get about 15 million euros, according to ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’.
At Al-Ahli, Kessié will find top teammates such as Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez, Edouard Mendy, and Allan Saint-Maximin. The Saudi tournament will begin next weekend; the Jeddah-based club has won it three times, most recently in the 2015/16 season.
Kessié, born in 1996, has more than decent experience in Europe, which began in 2015 when he was bought by Atalanta, which picked him up from Adjamé’s Stella Club. In addition to the Orobici jersey, he has also worn the Cesena jersey, the AC Milan jersey (with which he won the Scudetto in 2022) and the Barcelona jersey (winning La Liga and the Super Cup in 2023).
