Cagliari, new lead for attack pops up
Cagliari, Bruno Petkovic is being evaluated for the attack
One of Cagliari’s main targets ahead of this last month of the summer market will be an offensive reinforcement to replace Gianluca Lapadula, who will be forced to the pits for about three months due to a serious injury. The Rossoblù are reportedly evaluating several profiles both in Italy and abroad.
According to reports from “Sky Sport,” one name that has reportedly been gaining momentum is Bruno Petkovic, a Croatian center forward born in 1994 from Dinamo Zagreb. In fact, the Rossoblù management would have already initiated contacts with the player’s entourage to understand the feasibility of the operation.
Besides the former Bologna man, the islanders would also be following other profiles such as Borja Mayoral, Andrea Petagna and Lorenzo Colombo.
The Rossoblù, for its part, would also be working to reinforce midfield and defense, as for quite some time now, Ds Bonato would be in talks to bring to Sardinia young midfielder Matteo Prati from SPAL and experienced Atalanta defender José Palomino.
Cagliari will play in Serie A next year after only one season in the cadet league: promotion came in extremis, thanks to Pavoletti’s goal in full recovery in the return leg of the playoff final, at the San Nicola against Bari.
