F1, Charles Leclerc is outspoken about market rumors
F1, Charles Leclerc has clear ideas about the future
During an interview with the microphones of the “Corriere della Sera,” Ferrari driver Charles Leclec spoke about his future and that of Carlos Sainz, who also expires in 2024. In addition, the Monegasque addressed market rumors regarding his possible farewell to the Prancing Horse at the end of this season.
Who would I like to have as a teammate if Carlos is not renewed for 2025? I don’t know and I am not going to answer that question, because it would be interpreted in the wrong way. We work very well with Sainz, although there is a lot of competition between us, as is normal between two drivers from the same team,” said the Monegasque driver.
“If these rumors are going around, it means I’m doing my job well. But these rumors leave me indifferent, because I already know what I want in my future. However, I still do not know what Ferrari wants from me. The contract renewal discussions have already started and my will is quite clear,” added Charles Leclerc.
Ferrari was founded in 1947 by Enzo Ferrari, in Maranello, in the province of Modena. It is involved in the Formula One World Championship, where it holds the record for the number of world Constructors’ titles won (16), and in the FIA Sport Prototypes and Endurance World Championships. The official symbol is that of the prancing horse on a yellow background, the color representing the city of Modena.
