Inter, not just Sommer: another goalkeeping reinforcement ready
Inter, Emil Audero backlash for goalkeeping
After finalizing the purchase of Yann Sommer from Bayern Munich, Inter is working to complete the goalkeeping package by acquiring another goalkeeper to alternate with the Swiss. There are several profiles that the Nerazzurri would be following.
According to reports from “La Gazzetta dello Sport,” the name that has reportedly gained the most attention is that of Emil Audero, who could leave Sampdoria after being relegated to Serie B. The Nerazzurri would be working to find an agreement with the Blucerchiato club on the basis of a loan with right of redemption. In addition, the possibility of including Filip Stankovic’s player card within the deal would not be ruled out, as he would take the reverse route on a temporary basis. However, the Milanese club will have to reckon with competition from several clubs, including Lazio, which would be looking for a second goalkeeper after finalizing the sale of Maximiano to Almeria.
The main alternatives to the Azzurri goalkeeper would be Anatolij Trubin and Bento, under Shakhtar Donetsk and Athletico Paranaenese, respectively.
The other priority for the Nerazzuri remains a reinforcement on the offensive end, where Inter would be pressing hard for Folarin Balogun, Arsenal’s 2001-class center forward.
Starting next July 1, it will be possible to deposit contracts for the players who will make up the teams’ rosters for the 2023/2024 season.
