Trent, third star-studded shot made official
Official: Prentiss Hubb is a new player for Dolomiti Energia Trentino
Following the signings of Kamar Baldwin and Myles Stephens, Trento has announced the arrival of its third star player, namely Prentiss Hubb. Dolomiti Energia has agreed with the American combo-guard class of 1999 on the basis of a one-year contract.
“Dolomiti Energia Trentino announces that it has reached an agreement for the 2023-24 season with American combo-guard class ’99 Prentiss Hubb. The talented U.S. outside forward, born March 19, 24 years ago in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, is back from his first season as a professional in Europe experienced as a star player in Germany wearing the jersey of MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg: with the yellow-and-whites in 2022-23 he traveled to average 16.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 46 official appearances between the German league, playoffs and FIBA Basketball Champions League, helping Ludwigsburg reach a historic Bundesliga semifinal.
A gifted shooter with great scoring ability from the arc (as many as 132 threes scored in total this season, 2.9 average per night), Prentiss(191 centimeters for 82 kilograms) is a player also capable of engaging his teammates and with Kamar Baldwin will form an unusual yet intriguing left-handed strong backcourt pair: “Prentiss before his ‘pro’ debut in Germany was basketball-trained at the University of Notre Dame where in his junior year he scored 14.6 points and dished out 5.8 assists on average,” this the note issued by the club.
Dolomiti Energia head coach Paolo Galbiati also commented on the new addition: “In a very complex market we were looking for an important player, who had already gained some experience but also with great margins for growth, in full Aquila Basket Trento style. We were impressed by the talent and desire to grow and get to the highest possible level shown by Hubb. Prentiss is a player of personality, quality and that bit of flair and madness that I think can make our fans fall in love with him.”
