Prentiss Hubb goes to Trent

Dolomiti Energia Trentino has announced that it has reached an agreement for the 2023-24 season with American class of ’99 combo-guard Prentiss Hubb. The talented outside forward from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, is back from his first season as a professional in Europe experienced as a star player in Germany wearing the MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg jersey: with the yellow-and-whites in 2022-23 he traveled to average 16.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 46 official appearances between the German league, playoffs and FIBA Basketball Champions League, helping Ludwigsburg reach a historic Bundesliga semifinal.

A gifted shooter with great scoring ability from the arc (as many as 132 threes scored in total this season, 2.9 average per night), Prentiss(191 centimeters for 82 kilograms) is a player also capable of engaging his teammates and with Kamar Baldwin will form an unusual yet intriguing left-handed strong backcourt pair: Prentiss before his “pro” debut in Germany was basketball-trained at the University of Notre Dame where in his junior year he scored 14.6 points and dished out 5.8 assists on average.

“In a very complex market we were looking for an important player, who had already gained some experience but also with great room for growth, in full Aquila Basket Trento style. And we were impressed by the talent and the desire to grow and get to the highest possible level shown by Hubb: Prentiss is a player with personality, quality and that bit of flair and madness that I think can make our fans fall in love with him,” said HCL coach, Paolo Galbiati.
