De Ketelaere: Atalanta and AC Milan displaced by demands
Charles De Ketelaere’s transfer from AC Milan to Atalanta is back in doubt. The Rossoneri midfielder, back from a season to forget at Milanello and now out of Stefano Pioli’s plans, seemed headed to Bergamo after an agreement was found between the two clubs.
The Rossoneri and Nerazzurri had agreed on a loan deal with a right of redemption set at 23 million plus 4 million in bonuses, and Gasperini was preparing to welcome the player.
Blocking everything were the demands of the Belgian and his agents, who according to rumors in case of redemption by the orobici would like a salary higher than the 2.2 million euros net that the player currently receives.
There is now pessimism about closing the deal and the Diavolo may be forced to look for another destination for the player, who has no chance of fitting into Pioli’s plans this season.
