Johann Zarco waits for Ducati — and Valentino Rossi

Johann Zarco is getting impatient ahead of 2024. The French centaur in an interview claimed his good performances this year (he is fifth overall) and sent a clear message to Ducati: “We are used to saying that if you get good results, you can have your place in MotoGP for next year. I’m doing that and I still don’t have the spot for next year. That makes everything a bit strange,” are the words reported by Motorsport.

The Borgo Panigale factory is in truth waiting for Marco Bezzecchi’s final decision: the Rimini-born centaur, author of a first part of the season at the highest level with the VR46 team, must decide whether to stay with Valentino Rossi’s team or move to the Pramac team, where he would have an official Ducati at his disposal in 2024.

Negotiations between Valentino Rossi’s VR46 Academy and Ducati continue, but Red’s manager Ciabatti reiterated that official bikes will only be available to the factory team and the Pramac team next season.

Zarco, however, has not given up and is waiting for news: “My goal is to stay in Ducati with this bike and this winning team. We are leading the championship with Pramac, Jorge Martin and I are comfortable together, so why not continue?”
