Salernitana, not only Petagna: two more options pop up for the attack
Salernitana, not only Petagna: two new names pop up for the attack
Salernitana is looking for at least one reinforcement in attack. Piatek’s non-redemption and Bonazzoli’s farewell force the Campania club to intervene in the market to fix the offensive department.
In recent days one of the granata sporting director’s collaborators, Morgan De Sanctis, has been in contact with Andrea Petagna’s agent. On the Monza striker, however, there is strong competition: the blue striker is also liked by Cagliari and Torino.
Thus Salernitana would be considering two other options. As reported by the ‘Corriere dello Sport’, the first is that of Myron Boadu, a Dutch striker owned by Monaco. However, the young center forward of Ghanaian origin is coming off a disappointing season, also complicit in an injury, which he finished with 3 goals in 12 appearances.
The Campani management could thus turn to Michy Batshuayi, a Belgian striker owned by Fenerbahce. The ’93 class scored 12 goals in 19 appearances in the Turkish league, rounding out his personal haul with also 3 goals in the Europa League and 5 in the Turkish Cup. The Granata would aim to pick him up from the Turkish club on a loan formula with a right of redemption, set at a significant sum.
From next July 1, it will be possible to deposit the contracts for the players who will make up the teams’ rosters for the 2023/2024 season.
