Pat Cash goes straight down on Jannik Sinner
Former tennis great Pat Cash in an interview with La Repubblica shared his impressions of Azzurri Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini: “Sinner if he keeps his form can aim for the top 3. I like him but he has to improve physically legs and arms. In two, three years he will be very high, he can play with Alcaraz.”
On the Roman tennis player: “He has something special, his serve is really huge, but on the backhand he has to improve a lot.”
On the serve and volley style: “They destroyed it, it’s risky and difficult, having taken the net you then have to become master of the game. Today you are 5 minutes at the net and 40 behind…. I don’t see others like me or Rafter: Pat was the last pure volleyer, but now we are dinosaurs.”
On great rivals: “Becker was absurd, you would play perfectly and then still lose to him. I never felt comfortable with him.”
