Toronto, Jannik Sinner does not betray and goes to the finals
Blue returns to a Masters 1000 final after Miami
Sinner did not fail to live up to expectations and captured the pass to the final of the Toronto Masters 1000. The Azure got rid of Paul in the semifinals with a double 6-4, 6-4, thus gaining the pass to the last act of the tournament. A solid (but also nervous) match for the South Tyrolean who returns to play a Masters 1000 final after about four months (Miami).
Now on Sinner’s way is De Minaur, world number 18 and in the first Masters 1000 final of his career. The record is all in favor of Sinner who, on four occasions, has always brought home the victory. For the Italian, this is the fourth final in a 1000 in his young career. After three losses, he is looking for his first treble.
“To feel the pressure is a privilege. It was good to play on such an important court against such a strong opponent,” he explains, “I am pleased with how I reacted to each break I suffered, especially when I served for the match. I’m happy overall with the match I played. De Minaur? Alex is an incredible player and he proved it this week. We have faced each other many times and we know what to expect from each other. It will be a great match,” his words reported by Sky Sports. The start of the final is scheduled for later today evening.
