Jannik Sinner, Paolo Bertolucci brutal: “But look how strange…”
Former Italian tennis player Paolo Bertolucci on Twitter wanted to lash out at skeptics of Jannik Sinner after the San Candido athlete’s triumph at the Toronto Masters 1000.
The Italian athlete at the age of 22 not yet turned 22 won his first major career trophy, moving up to sixth in the Atp rankings and securing the Turin Finals scheduled at the end of the season.
“After Roland Garros, Jannik Sinner’s bandwagon was half-empty. Oddly enough on this August evening it filled up. I wonder why?” the former tennis player and current TV pundit wrote pungently, targeting the many fans who were always skeptical in the past about Sinner’s true worth.

Jannik Sinner will return to the court in Cincinnati to better prepare for the Us Open starting in late August at Flushing Meadows. The goal is to do better than last year and climb further in the Atp rankings; the top 5 is very close.
