Charles De Ketelaere to Atalanta, it’s really done: details
The soap opera seems to be finally over on August bank holiday.
Charles De Ketelaere from AC Milan to Atalanta will happen. The market transaction, which seemed finalized as early as at the beginning of the month and then had apparently fizzled out due to the fees demanded by the Belgian’s agents, finally closed on August Ferragosto day. Next step is the medical examinations, set for Wednesday, August 16, or maximum Thursday, August 17.
Taking stock of the soap opera in the Rossoneri-Black and Blue sauce was ‘Sky Sport,’ according to which it was precisely on Ferragosto that the two clubs involved filed the last details to define an operation strongly desired by both parties (which become three if one adds De Ketelaere himself, who in the meantime has been convinced to leave Milan for Atalanta).
The figures remain the ones talked about even at the beginning of the month: Atalanta will immediately pay 3 million for the loan of Charles De Ketelaere, to which 22 million must be added to exercise the right of redemption at the end of the season and another 4 million in bonuses. In addition, the percentage on the possible resale of the fantasist, set at 10 percent, is confirmed. In other words, the Rossoneri could get up to 29 million euros from the operation.
Definitively overcome, therefore, also the problems that had risked in the past week to blow up the operation. Blocking everything had been the demands of De Ketelaere’s agents, who, according to rumors, in case of redemption by Atalanta would have demanded a salary higher than the 2.2 million euros net that the player currently receives.
