In Cincinnati it is already time for a rematch of the Wimbledon final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.

In the Masters 1000 on Ohio’s concrete, the Murcian Championships triumphant player struggled throughout the tournament but still made it to the last act, and in the semifinals he came back and beat by a score of 2-6 7-6 6-3 Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz after cancelling a match point at 2-6 4-5.

Djokovic, on the other hand, folded 7-6 7-6 over Germany’s Alexander Zverev, who is finally returning to the level he is best at after his terrible injury at Roland Garros last year.

Among the women, two half-surprises in the semifinals: the U.S. Coco Gauff managed to beat Poland’s world No. 1 Iga Swiatek with a score of 7-6 3-6 6-4

In the other semifinal, Czech Karolina Muchova again beat and sent World No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus 6-7 6-3 6-2 into confusion with her extraordinarily varied tennis after the Roland Garros semifinal.
