MotoGp: Valentino Rossi gives his verdict on the World Championship
VR46 team boss and nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi commented to Sky on the Academy’s good Sunday in Austria: “A fantastic Sunday. All the Academy riders did great things. We started in Moto2 with the victory of Celestino Vietti, who got unstuck after a complicated year, then MotoGP further improved the situation.”
“From Morbidelli who climbed up well to 11th, then Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi who climbed back up to the top positions, and Pecco Bagnaia who won big. Yesterday my team riders were unlucky, today we made up for it with interest.”
On Bagnaia and the MotoGp World Championship, Valentino is clear: “He was absolutely perfect throughout the course of the weekend. I think he hasn’t missed a single corner these days. In my opinion we in VR46 have to think more about second place ahead of Jorge Martin.”
“Pecco up there in front is doing great things, he has more experience, he’s in the factory team and it will be hard to catch him. It would already be important to surprise him in some races,” concluded the Doctor.
