Juan Martin Del Potro no holds barred over Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.

Juan Martin Del Potro in an interview with tennis.com talked about the future of tennis just days before the start of the Us Open, a tournament he will not participate in because he is not yet physically ready after his latest injury.

“I’m crazy about Alcaraz’s game, his charisma. I like the way he moves around the court, and after the Big 3 are gone the tennis will be in good hands with Carlitos, and with him also Jannik Sinner. These guys have the potential to stay at the top in the coming years.”

On his forfeit: “Emotionally it was really hard for me, because the US Open means a lot to me. In the end, I didn’t want to make my knee problem worse.”

On the comeback: “I will treat the knee with a different method in the coming weeks. I don’t know what might happen. But if there is a small chance to return to play someday, I will do my best to do so.”
