The words of Chris Horner

Red Bull team principal Chris Horner è returned to extol Max Verstappen at ESPN microphones: "He is driving at a crazy high level and now he has even more experience. He has always had raw speed and great natural talent, but the ability he has in the car to follow the race and think about aspects beyond the track è impressive. I think this year Max has taken another step forward. In the last two years è he has been incredible and I think you have to start considering him as one of the all-time greats, especially at the age of 25. What he has done in the space of time in which he has done it è really impressive and I think it is a privilege to work with him. Some of the things he does continually surprise us: whether it’s mixed conditions, wet or dry, his ability to extract the most out of the car è unparalleled".

"I think he has a great sensitivity" in the car, a huge confidence in himself and his abilities; he gets to the limit right away. As soon as we are in a new circuit, his first lap sometimes è faster than the others by two or three seconds. When there’è some rain during the weekend, there’è immediately a gap between him and the others. He has a’s enormous natural sensitivity and ability to understand what the car needs. He adapts really quickly to the situation and the car".

Quotation on Sergio Perez: "Being his teammate è the most difficult task in F1. You have to be mentally very resilient to face and handle it. I think Checo has been very good in the last two and a half years to achieve and do what he did-that requires a lot of mental resilience. È still second in the world championship with 40 points ahead of third, he has won two races and therefore had a decent season, but anything compared to Max è secondary. I think Perez wants to win a race or two in the second half of the year. I’m sure he would love to win the Mexican Grand Prix, but he will certainly want to be at least second in the world championship".
