Jannik Sinner no longer afraid after back pain
Muscle problems are now just a bad memory.
Jannik Sinner is preparing to face the US Open with a new spirit after the disappointment of the Cincinnati Masters 1000. The San Candido outfielder admitted that the one in Ohio represented a setback as brutal as it was justified by several circumstances, including some physical problems. Now, però everything è over.
"In Cincinnati, I had little time to adapt to the courts, which were much faster than those in Toronto,” Sinner explained during the pre-U.S. Open Media Day. “Then it was particularly hot that day and maybe I was a little bit tired. The result è that I felt a pain in my back. It è was a muscle problem, nothing to be alarmed about. In fact I am fine now, è it has all passed".
Sinner, however, intends to prevent the same problem in Cincinnati from happening again at Flushing Meadows. "Here matches are played over 3 out of 5 sets. So you need the body to be rested, becauseé the challenges can also become very long. You have to arrive at the US Open in the best condition, in fact we have been working on that and also on the technical side. The goal è to improve the strokes, especially on the serve and backhand", explained the South Tyrolean.
