Basketball, good first for Cantù: Sacchetti satisfied

Today another friendly challenge against Brescia

Good first. Cantù started its season with a victory in the friendly match against Sam Massagno (78-72). Not an easy game, solved in the final. Excellent performances by Young (19 points), Hickey (14) and Nikolic (13). The latter made some post-match statements to the official website: "The‘beginning of every season è always nice, we approached the game with the right attitude trying to play together, as a team. We will slowly figure out how to bring out the best from each of us, roles and balance. We played against a very physical team, but we adapted with energy and aggressivenessà in defense and building good shots".

Coach Sacchetti echoes him: "I’m glad we started with a win. I definitely take away some good pointers. We are still very packed because of the work done so far, but I saw some good things on the court. It wasnè t an easy game becauseé they created some problems for us under the basket and they were good at shooting consistently from 3, in the final we had to use up our remaining energy to bring it home".

Today, at 6 p.m., at the Cepina Valdisotto arena, Cantù will face Germani Brescia. Another test to understand the level of the roster available to coach Sacchetti.
