Gigi Buffon’s words ahead of his new adventure
Former Italian national team goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to official Figc channels è returned to talk about his decision to hang up his boots. In addition, he è dwelt on his feelings in view of his new role as Head of Delegation of the National Team.
"As head of delegation è everything much more beautiful and calm, but equally you know that you have small responsibilities; and every now and then the little word has to be said. The little advice, but not only to players, it can be important to give a little different view due to experience. The thing I like the most; è being back in an environment I have known for 30 years and finding people I left here five years ago" began the former Juventus goalkeeper.
"I feel part of the project and so I am very excited about this new adventure. Clearly è different than when you are in the arena, but one perceives feelings in direct proportion to how è involved and I feel very involved" added the world champion in 2006.
"I honestly don’t miss the field. I was saturated with soccer and these days seeing the boys train I never had half a craving. I’m overjoyed with the choice I made and I know it’s not è so for everyone, but I’m ultra happy with the path I’ve chosen to take" commented Gigi Buffon on the decision to hang up his boots.
