Mario Balotelli, the comeback is official

Mario Balotelli is returning to Turkey to play with Adana Demirspor after a complicated season spent in Sion, Switzerland, that ended with the termination of his contract after 6 goals in 19 games. The former Milan and Inter Milan striker chose to return to the team where he scored 19 goals in the 2021-2022 season.

Some things have changed from two years ago for Balotelli. On the bench is no longer Vincenzo Montella, but Patrick Kluivert, the former Dutch striker for Barcelona, Ajax and Milan. Also in the squad are Luis Nani, the former United Portuguese outside forward who also played for Lazio, and Mbaye Niang, who after a year at Bordeaux è moved to Turkey. A teammate of Balotelli will again be Younès Belhanda with whom he shared past experience.

The team captain è Benjamin Stambouli, French champion with Montpellier in 2012 along with Giroud. Balotelli signed a one-season contract and will complete; 34 years in August 2024. The last time he played in Turkey he scored more than 10 goals, and he is ready to repeat this achievement.
