Carlos Sainz explains Ferrari’s winning strategy

After fourteen Grand Prix (and three Sprint races) dominated by Red Bull, è came in Singapore the day of Ferrari, in particular of a Carlos Sainz able to give continuity to Saturday’s pole position by winning twenty-four hours after the hard-fought race on the Marina Bay street circuit.

"It's been an incredible weekend,‖ said Sainz, over the microphones of David Coulthard, before the podium celebration.

I have to say thank you to every member of Scuderia Ferrari for their efforts with the goal of turning the season around. We finally won, and I am sure the fans will be very proud".

The enthusiasm of the moment did not prevent, the Spanish driver, from taking a moment to explain the race strategy, revealing the secret of his success: "We had to manage the consumption of the tires, we had a precise strategy in mind but the Safety Car forced us to play it by ear and make a longer stint with hard tires. In the finale we managed the lead over Norris to give him some DRS and keep the Mercedes away behind him, this allowed me to control the race until the end".

"Arriving at the finish line ahead of everyone è the most beautiful feeling, I am overjoyed" said Sainz, in his second career success after the one in Silverston 2022, which he also won at the wheel of Ferrari.
