F1, Singapore GP: Aston Martin announces a forfeit
Lance Stroll is skipping the Singapore Grand Prix. It was announced by Aston Martin, through the release of an official statement.
"As a result of the accident suffered by Lance during qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix, Lance and Team Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One®️ have mutually decided that he will not participate in tonight" read the note issued by the British stable.
"The team had to deal with a huge job of repairing the car today and Lance è still in pain after such a severe impact. Lance's focus now turns to full recovery ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix".
Mike Krack, AMF1 team Principal, said: "The whole team è relieved that Lance was able to get out of the car after yesterday's accident, but he is still feeling the aftermath of such a strong impact. Our priority now è that he makes a full and speedy recovery. Together, we have decided that he will not participate in tonight’s race and will focus on returning to the cockpit for next weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix".
