Official: Franco Morbidelli è the new rider of Ducati Pramac
Just days before the India GP weekend, there's news in the rider market ahead of the 2024 season. Yamaha rider Franco Morbidelli, in fact, has signed a one-year contract with Ducati Pramac. The Italo-Brazilian will take the place of Johann Zarco, who will move to the Honda LCR team.
"Franco Morbidelli has signed an agreement with Ducati that will see the Roman rider in the Prima Pramac Racing team for 2024 alongside Jorge Martin, both riding the Desmosedici GP24s. MotoGP World Vice-Champion in 2020, Moto2 World Champion in 2017 and European Superstock 600 Champion in 2013, Franco Morbidelli will bring backà the Italian flag in the box of the Pramac stable three seasons after Pecco Bagnaia" this is the note issued by the team.
"I am very happy that Franco will join our family for 2024: I have a very good relationship with him, he has proven to be a champion on many occasions. I am sure that in our team he will findà the right conditions to return to fight for the positions he deserves"these are the words of team principal Paolo Campinoti.

In conclusion, on the arrival of Franco Morbidelli in Pramac, the general manager of Ducati expressed himself: "It's a pleasure for us to welcome Franco Morbidelli within our factory-supported Pramac Racing team for the next sport season, riding an official Desmosedici GP. Franco è is a very talented and experienced rider and on more than one occasion he has proven to be strong and fast. It is no coincidence that in 2020 è he was vice World Champion in MotoGp, winning three GPs. We are convinced that, together with the Pramac team and thanks to our support, he will be able to show his full potential. We look forward to facing together of this new exciting adventure".
